HOTEL & RESERVATIONS TERMS & CONDITIONS

Reservation Policy:

  • A 50% deposit is required to guarantee your reservation.

  • All reservations will be confirmed upon receipt of the specified funds.

  • The balance is due 30 days before arrival and will be charged automatically to the credit card used for the deposit (unless otherwise agreed).

  • Your reservation is guaranteed until the day of arrival. After that time, it will no longer be guaranteed, and the room may be reassigned.

  • All requests to reserve a room must include the first and last names of all adults occupying the room and a valid credit card for a guarantee of arrival.

  • Our room rates are subject to change.

  • Minimum 2-night stay required over the Christmas & New Year period (23rd December – 2nd January).

  • Cribs are available upon request, subject to availability.
     

Cancellation Policy:

  • Cancellations must be sent via email to reservations@theplantershouse.com, stating the reservation number.

  • All cancellations are confirmed via email immediately after the reservation has been cancelled.

  • Non-Refundable Rate: The total price of the reservation will be charged right away after booking and is non-refundable.

  • All cancellations must be advised in writing and will take effect the day it is received by The Planters House.

  • Cancellation 61 days or more before the booking date: No charge* (although any bank charges/exchange rate and a $25 admin fee will apply).

  • Cancellation made 31 to 60 days before the booking date: 50% Payable.

  • Cancellation made 30 or fewer days before the booking date: Full Amount Payable.

  • “No shows” and stays that are cut short will incur a 100% cancellation fee on the total room rate for the entire period booked.

  • Full House or Whole Property bookings will incur a full stay cancellation charge within 90 days before the date of arrival.

  • For any booking(s) made through an online travel agent (i.e. Bookings.com, Expedia, etc.), cancellation must be made via the site through which it was booked. If you are unsure of how to do this, be sure to contact the customer service team of the company used to book the room, and they will be able to guide you through the cancellation process or cancel it on your behalf.
     

Check-in Policy:

  • Check-in any time from 3 pm local time.

  • Any outstanding balance of the full booking is payable on arrival at check-in time. Check-in cannot be completed until full payment has been received and approved.

  • A room key is provided at check-in time. The cost of any keys needing replacement will be charged at $50.

  • During the check-in process, our team will provide you with any information required during your stay.

  • A valid credit card is required at check-in for incidental charges and security deposits.

  • Upon check-in, a charge will be made on your credit card or debit card an additional $50 per person per night as a pre-authorisation hold, refundable in 3-10 business days, depending on your bank’s policy.
     

Check-out Policy:

  • Check-out any time up until 11 am local time.

  • Late check-out may be arranged at management’s discretion.

  • Detailed inspection of the room is made after check-out time, and charges may be made for any damages or breakages found.

  • Full payment for stay and additional charges required at check-out.
     

Payment Terms at Check-in/Check-out:

  • Payment options: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or pre-paid debit cards accepted.
     

Business Hours:

  • Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, although the team will sleep during the night – the duty manager is available on his mobile.
     

Room and Property Policies:

  • Non-smoking policy for The Planters House and The Cottage. Smoking is permitted outside and by the pool; please be mindful of others.

  • A cleaning fee of $200 will be added for breaches. This applies to all traditional and electronic smoking methods. Immediate termination of the stay is possible if rules are violated.

  • Children of all ages are welcome for whole house bookings; parents must ensure they do not disturb other guests.

  • Guests are responsible for children’s safety and supervision at all times.

  • The hotel disclaims liability for any incidents involving children.

  • Guests with any disability or special needs must inform the hotel at the time of booking. The hotel will endeavour to accommodate these requests but cannot guarantee their fulfilment.

  • Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The hotel assumes no liability for any loss, damage, or theft of vehicles or contents within.
     

Alcohol Policy:

  • No external alcohol is allowed on the property. Beverages must be purchased through the hotel, except for water bottles.
     

Room Cleaning Policy:

  • Room refreshes will not be offered during stays. Fresh towels or linen are available upon request.

Event and Seasonal Policies:

  • The hotel reserves the right to conduct events which may limit access to certain facilities. Guests will be notified of any significant events that could impact their stay, where feasible.
     

Liability and Complaints:

  • The hotel’s liability for any damage or loss to guest property is limited except where such loss or damage is due to the hotel's negligence or intentional misconduct.

  • The hotel is not liable for failure to perform its obligations if such failure is as a result of Acts of God (including fire, landslide, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, or other natural disasters), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalisation, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labour dispute, strike, lockout, or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service.

  • Complaints must be raised during the stay. Any disputes or issues during your stay should be immediately brought to the management’s attention for resolution. Post-departure complaints may not be entertained.
     

Prices and Taxes:

  • Prices are subject to change without notice. Confirmed booking prices are binding.

  • Rates inclusive of government taxes and service charges unless otherwise stated.
     

Damages:

  • Guests are responsible for any damage to the rooms and equipment.

  • A summary check will be made of the room on check-out time.

  • A detailed review of the room condition will be made soon after check-out. The guest is responsible for any damages found.

  • Costs for damages will be charged to the guest's card, and a detailed statement will be sent by email.
     

Extending Your Stay and Other Considerations:

  • Standard Booking Price includes all taxes and internet.

  • Extending Your Stay: Guests can extend their stay, subject to availability, by informing the hotel before arrival or at least 24 hours before the check-out date.
     

Data Protection and Privacy:

  • Guest information will be used only for the purpose of reservation management and marketing, subject to data protection laws. They will not be disclosed to third parties without consent except as required by law.
     

Legal and Contractual Terms:

  • These terms are solely for the benefit of the parties to the agreement and do not confer any rights to third parties except as expressly provided herein.

  • Failure to enforce rights under these terms does not constitute a waiver of such rights.

  • The failure or delay by the hotel in exercising any right, power, or privilege under these terms shall not operate as a waiver thereof.

  • If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect as if the invalid or unenforceable part had been omitted.
